To celebrate this festive season we are offering all local businesses with a ‘BL’ postcode a reduced rate for mandatory Asbestos Awareness training.

Section 10 of The Control of Asbestos Regulations (2012) states that ‘every employer shall ensure that adequate information, instruction and training is given to those of his employees who are liable to be exposed to asbestos or who supervise such employees’.  The following types of occupations are highlighted as being likely to come into contact with asbestos containing materials in their daily work tasks:

• Demolition workers;
• Carpenters and joiners;
• Plumbers;
• Electricians;
• Roofing contractors;
• Painters and decorators;
• Plasterers;
• Construction workers;
• Fire and burglar alarm installers;
• Shop fitters;
• Gas fitters;
• Computer installers;
• General maintenance staff eg caretakers;
• Telecommunications engineers;
• Building surveyors;
• Cable layers;
• Heating and Ventilation Engineers.

The cost of this session is £250 plus VAT for up to 15 delegates. The session can be held at your premises or our conference room at Bury Business Centre, Greater Manchester. For independents or those with a small number of employees, we also implement monthly training sessions at our premises where you can book one or a few delegates for £55 per person plus VAT.
