Armco has arranged their next Asbestos Awareness training session for Tuesday, 2nd October 2012 at Bury Business Centre, Kay Street, Bury, BL9 6BU. This venue is suitable for anyone who can travel easily to Bury, which is near Greater Manchester/Lancashire such as Bolton, Rochdale, Oldham, Wigan, Stockport, Trafford and Rossendale,

Employers are required, by Section 10 of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, to ensure that all those whom carry out any works or installation on properties built before the year 2000 must receive adequate Asbestos Awareness training.  This list of professions is not exhaustive but indicates the professions who are most likely to come into contact with asbestos containing materials. Please do not hesitate to call the office for further details on who is at risk.

Our three hour Asbestos Awareness training course educates workers on the history of asbestos, what asbestos looks like and, when and how it was used in building. The attendee would be taught how it identify asbestos and the correct procedure to follow to deal with asbestos correctly. This ensures that they safeguard themselves, other workers, customers and the general public from the inhalation of asbestos fibres, which can potentially lead to life threatening respiratory disease.  All this for only £55 per person plus VAT.

The courses are delivered as an oral presentation with power point slides and written material. The training is provided by fully qualified, time served and friendly professionals. The candidates are presented with a certificate and we also provide yearly refresher training session.

In addition to holding the described training at our premises we also can deliver the sessions at your premises or elected place throughout the UK.
