Asbestos regulations state that Asbestos Awareness training is mandatory for anyone who is involved with or affected by disturbing the fabric of a building in their works tasks (Section 10 of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012). The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) take this very seriously and there have been many employers this year alone who have been fined thousands of pounds for failing to protect themselves and their staff from the risks of asbestos fibre inhalation.

With this in mind, it seems relatively cheap for you and your staff to attend one of our Asbestos Awareness courses for a competitive £55 per person plus VAT. We have two such training sessions scheduled this month: 2^nd and 9^th October 2012 at 9.00 a.m. at Bury Business Centre, Kay Street, Bury, BL9 6BU.

Our three hour Asbestos Awareness training course educates workers on the history of asbestos, what asbestos looks like and, when and how it was used in building. The attendee would be taught how it identify asbestos and the correct procedure to follow to deal with asbestos correctly. This ensures that they safeguard themselves, other workers, customers and the general public from the inhalation of asbestos fibres, which can potentially lead to life threatening respiratory disease.

In addition to the training outline above we also provide respiratory mask face fitting service and if booked in conjunction with one of our courses you will receive this for a discounted £25 per person plus VAT.

Armco’s training sessions are held by fully qualified and time-served surveyors whom deliver the class as an oral presentation with power point slides and written material. The candidates are presented with a certificate we also provide yearly refresher training session.
