In a world were we seldom get ‘something for nothing’, a new pledge by the HSE to provide free asbestos training classes comes as a nice surprise. Various asbestos training providers are working together to promote and provide free asbestos awareness training in conjunction with the HSE.
From September to November 2011, training providers will be pledging and delivering free asbestos training classes at a place near you. Free courses are subject to availability and eligibility. Courses are limited to a maximum of 6 delegates per company or organisation No guarantee is made that courses will be available following a submitted request. Self-employed trades-people are eligible and invited to register. Terms and conditions apply and you will be provided with course registration. Your details will be kept confidential and the HSE will only receive data on course numbers and delivery and will not receive any company or personal data.
Courses are limited each week and are allocated on a first come, first served basis. You must complete and submit the request form to one of the member companies, a list of whom can be found on the HSE Website: https://www.hse.gov.uk/asbestos/training-pledge/pledge-area.htmPublished Oct 12, 2011
