Are you looking for asbestos awareness training in Manchester?? Well look no further, as Armco are holding various asbestos related training session her in Bury, Manchester on Friday, 27^th July 2012 here at Bury Business Centre, Kay Street, Bury, BL9 6BU.

We are holding Asbestos Awareness training and Works with Non-Licensed Asbestos containing materials (ACM’s) training as well as offering respiratory mask face fitting at a reduced cost when booked in conjunction with one of the courses detailed above.

Follows are the course outlines and costs:

•  The ½ day Asbestos Awareness Training covers: the history of asbestos; the properties of asbestos and its effects on health; the types, uses and likely occurrence of asbestos in buildings and plant; and the general procedures to be followed to deal with an emergency. The cost of this session is £55 plus VAT per person;

• The Works with Non-Licensed ACM’s training is made up of the ½ day Asbestos Awareness and is then followed by a half days session covering non-licensed ACM’s. Various asbestos products are considered low risk and therefore non-licensed, such as asbestos cement, floor tiles and texture coating. Such materials have been deemed low risk by the HSE and therefore any remedial works do not require a license. The materials still harbor some risk and therefore those undertaking such remedial works must be trained in working with such ACM’s. The cost of this session is £165 plus VAT per person;

• Respiratory Mask Face Fitting is a method for checking that a tight fitting facepiece matches the wearer’s facial features and seals adequately to the wearer’s face.  An inadequate fit will significantly reduce the protection provided to the wearer, even though the user is wearing a respirator correctly selected for the given application. All wearers of tight fitting facepieces should be tested to ensure that their masks fit their face profiles. The cost is £35 per person plus VAT, but when booked in conjunction with any of the courses outlined above we offer it at a reduced cost of £25 per person plus VAT.
